Girls night!

I just realized I didn't take pics last night.... oops. Last night was really fun, I went out with my ladies from work. Jess and I went to Nordstrom and got some new MAC makeup and she had never used it before so while I was reloading on the usual and the lady was showing me some other powder... the girl that was helping me was like, "Here try this" and started putting stuff on Jess' face. Jess looked in the mirror and LOVED it! All I said was, "I told you!". So we both ended up getting stuff there. Then we browsed through Fashion Place and got some cute shirts.

Next we met up with Shel at the Gateway and ate at Happy Sumo (obviously one of my favorite restaurants!) ha ha They had never eaten there either, so I was excited to see what they thought of it. By the end, Jess felt like she was living under a rock because she had never eaten there and now decided that she wants to eat there every day of her life and can't believe she existed without having this before. Yes, she loved it that much. Shel liked it too, but not to that extent and she had trouble with the seaweed that they roll the sushi in ;) But a great meal all around. Then we perused the gateway and bought a few more things. Of course I had to introduce them to Forever 21. I ended up finding the cutest dress there and I am so glad because I have been wanting a new dress really bad! Here it is!! It's even cuter on!!

It was such a fun night, we just wish the mall could have stayed open longer so we could buy some more stuff!! I love these girls, they are sweethearts and are my norm in the warehouse (and offices) full of some interesting people! We are going to start a girls night tradition from here on out :)

Devin

We went and visited Devin and Lisa in the hospital yesterday and it was so good to see Devin happy and doing well. :) His poor leg is still healing and fighting off infection, and full of foam... but he was in good spirits and is doing well. A couple of his friends from Springville came while we were there and they were awesome. We all had a great time laughing and chatting.

We were really excited because while we were there Devin got to see his toes move for the first time. They have been moving but this was the first time he saw them and he was so overwhelmed. We were happy to be there while he experienced that. Him and Lisa are the biggest sweethearts and we are glad to have them as friends! Get well soon Dev, we love you!!

P.S. We also talked about how pimp he will be with a cane when he gets out of the hospital! :)

Happy Sumo again!

On Saturday I went boating with my honey, John and Snigga, and Jed. It was way fun but a lot shorter than we normally go for. Mostly because Jed had plans in Salt Lake and I had some of my Payson friends coming up to hang out. We met at the Gateway and of course ate at Happy Sumo.
I love that place! It is tasty. I have the problem with ordering the same thing everytime though... Chris always makes fun because if I find something I like at a restaurant and I rarely deviate from ordering that item EVERY time we go. ha ha It was a good time and fun for all. But we were bummed that we got done eating so late, because we hauled butt to Forever 21 and it was closed :( So we decided to make another day to go shopping at the Nordstrom Rack and Forever 21. I guess they were all tired because after that they just went home... So I was forced to go home and watch TV because there was nothing else going on at 10:20 on a Saturday night for me. I can't help it if I am a creature of the night on the weekends ;)

New calling

So last week I got a new calling. Now that Girl's Camp is over, my old calling has expired. So when I got the call for an appointment, I knew what was coming. As of last Sunday, I am the new 1st Counsellor in the Young Women's Presidency. I was a little overwhelmed at first. But as we get going, I am excited and the girls are all very glad to have a familiar face in the Young Women's still. We have a very small young womens and I was glad that we had three girls at church yesterday, that is good for us :) We had a fun time and I am excited to get things going!

Michigan, here I come...

I recently purchased a plane ticket to go see my BFF Kristi! She is living out in Michigan with her hubby and baby Lucy. They are out there for Dave's dental school. So I never see her anymore. She was sweet enough to come visit me on their summer vacation last year and fly out and be a bridesmaid, for my wedding, but I have never been out there to see her!

I figured it is my turn and Chris and I got a $300 Southwest voucher as a Wedding gift so he said I could use it to go see her. I am soo excited and so is she. We may go see the Oprah show and spend a night in Chicago and all sorts of things. I am excited to see her neck of the woods and get a fun vacation!

I will be gone October 10-14 Hooray! Kristi is the one on my left, on the floor.

Chris' Birthday!!!

Chris turned 23 this weekend!!! Yep, he is a year and a bit younger than me ha ha It was fun, we went to eat at Outback with Scott and Ali and then hungout. Scott gave Chris the new "Portugal the Man" album and an awesome Viking sort of silver helmet ha ha We love hanging out with Scott and Ali, they are close to our twins, personality wise and we love them!

Saturday we went to lunch for Chris' b day with my family (minus Nicole, she was hiking Timp, or trying, they got rained out) We went to a yummy chinese place in Payson called Tsing Tao. Then Chris and I had to get to a wedding, it was his close family friend Brandon. He married Kami, she is a sweetie and the wedding was beautiful. But right after we left it rained all over their outdoor wedding :( boo to that.

So I hope Chris had a great Birthday weekend!!! I know it was fun for me :)

Chinese food and fun

Last Tuesday Chris and I got take out Chinese Food and ate it with my Aunt Cheralyn, Uncle Nate and their cute baby Chase! It was a lot of fun. My aunt and uncle are only 32 and 33 (I believe) and so they are more like a big bro and big sis or just friends :) We always have blast with them. I lived with them for a couple of months before I got married and it was a lot of fun! they were so sweet to let me live with them since we ended up backing out of the house we first were planning on buying. I worked up there and was homeless so they took me in.

Chase had just got his new room all done so he showed us his new train bedroom and we all played and watched their dog Penny and my dog Cooper run around in circles chasing Nate and Chase ha ha

What a fun night!!

Birthday Dinner pictures!

Lazy...

I was the laziest ever this weekend!! Starting Saturday... Friday was fun. Chris' parents threw a birthday party for Betsy, Chris, and I because we all have close birthdays. We had his parents friends and our friends over and just snacked, chatted, and played pool. It was fun to hang out with friends and relax. :)

Saturday, I literally layed in bed for most of the day (minus making breakfast and eating lunch) ha ha Chris had a party for a family friend, that is getting married, that he went to in the afternoon. When he got home, we decided to go out to dinner and we went by the new Jason's Deli in Layton. It looked like it was open, but we weren't sure because they just barely put it in that building and didn't know the opening date. We walked up to the doors and there were people inside but the door said, "Employees in training, dining by invitation only". So we felt dumb and started to walk away... but a manager dude came bounding out the door and asked us if we wanted to come in and eat. We were a little reluctant because we clearly didn't have an invite... (I guess he gave us a verbal one though.) He said come on in, the employees are just training so everything is free. Get whatever you want. OH BOY!!! We couldn't pass it up. So we ate there, on the house and it was yummy. We then rented a movie at redbox and hung out. Since Chris had to go to bed early, I accepted my friend Amanda's invite and went to her and her boyfriend's Christmas in August party. ha ha It was pretty fun. Most people were a little tipsy and getting worse, but luckily Cheryl and her friend Brad were there so we were so the sobers together :) We played pool and guitar hero and chatted with everyone and then had a white elephant gift exchange. I ended up with a pack of gum (good considering my first gift was a 40oz...) ;)

Sunday was a lazy to the max day. I laid in bed with Cooper all day while Chris was at work and we watched a long marathon of America's Next Top Model and read. It was a funny weekend. I am not used to weekends like that. It was nice to take a break from running around all the time though!

Girls Night!!

Last night Jeanette put together a little girls night out/ birthday dinner for me. :) I was so excited because I haven't seen everyone for a while and I miss my gals a lot! We went and ate at Happy Sumo in Salt Lake at the Gateway. I recommend going to the Provo one if you live that way... the servers are nicer and the rolls and restaurant are physically bigger. ;) We had loads of fun chatting and taking photos and pigging out!!! The only poopy part was our not-so-nice server. She was a total bizzo... she took forever in everything she did and she also never cracked a smile. Then she tried to get away with not splitting the check. She's all, you can just pay with different cards from this one check. So I asked her if she would know which stuff to charge to what cards and she said yes. At least 15 minutes later she came back and had split the check and shruggingly said, "I couldn't get it to equal out, so I split them for you, just put your card back in the ticket that goes with it." HA HA HA I guess she should have been a good server and listened to us in the first place instead of being lazy and rude and then making us wait EVEN longer for her to have to try and figure it out and then ended up split it anyway... Oh well. You live and you learn...

After we ate, everything was closed :( But luckily the Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory was still open and we all got some tasty treats! Then we chatted and took more pics. (I will post the pics shortly, Chris can't find the cord to his camera and my tower at work doesn't have a card slot...) I had such a wonderful time and just realized, again, how much I love love love my girlfriends! They are all sweet and beautiful!

Birthday!!

I had a fabulous birthday!! Chris surprised me and took the day off!!! So he got to come on the lunch date with Molly and me. We met Molly at the Nordstrom rack, did a little shopping, went to lunch, went to Pib's Exchange, went to Koi and got me some new earrings. Then we ventured over to trolley Square and bought me a shirt at Black Chandelier that I LOVE!!!

After that we got a Jamba Juice and headed home, relaxed for while, and then went to dinner with our families at Prairie Schooner. It was Betsy's (Chris' mom) birthday too so it is even more of a fun day for our family! Prairie Schooner is so much fun!! You eat at tables that are in covered wagons and it looks like you are outdoors with stars in the seiling and campfires burning with old west decor and such. They also have great food: steaks, seafood, chicken, etc. So overall it was a fantastic day! So much fun!!!!

Work

Yesterday I talked to my boss about adding a few more duties to my job. Right now I do the Administrative Assistant stuff and all the office work for the Maintenance Dept. But obviously I get a little bored because I get all my stuff done and still have day to burn. (My office is immaculate because I have so much time to clean and organize in my free time) I have been thinking about asking to do the parts for a while now. My good ole father-in-law worked here for over ten years and just quit a couple of weeks ago, but while he was still here, he had mentioned this to my boss and he seemed up for it. I waited a little for it to sink in with Carl (my boss) and yesterday I asked him if I could do it. My father-in-law had also pitched a substantial pay raise to go hand in hand with taking on this second job. But I was a little skiddish about mentioning it because I didn't want to be presumptuous... Anyway, Carl was soo excited that I want to do the parts and was thinking that I should also. I am excited to start but am nervous because I don't want to do all these extra duties for free. Do you guys think I should ask him about the money now OR wait and see if he brings it up on his own free will???

barnes and noble

Last night I told Chris we should go to Barnes and Noble because I wanted a new book. He thought that sounded fun. So we started out the night by eating at our favorite Chinese place in Layton, Mandarin Palace, it was yummy. Then we headed to Barnes and Noble. I was semi-clueless about what to get. I knew I loved the last books I read and I wanted something that would grab my attention... so long story short, the girls that worked there were clueless and I ended up browsing. Finally, with the help of Chris I found "I am Legend" by Richard Matheson. So I now have a new Vampire book to indulge in!

My second choice is completely opposite ha ha It shows that there are many facets to my personality. :) I got "Confessions of a Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella. Because it looked fun and I can relate in a very small sense... I love to shop!

I read a little bit of both last night and am excited to see what I think about both of them.

Overall it was a fun night! Chris got a book too but I can't remember the name of it... oops.
