M I C H I G A N

For the last couple of weeks I have wanted to put these hilarious pics of Lola on here. She has this problem, when I try to take a pic of the headband she is wearing, she hears the camera beep and looks up. Well when I try to take a pic of her head on she sees the little red light that flashes and then makes these scary/funny faces. Here is one recent photo shoot: {you will see more of this later in the post ha ha }

This is by far my favorite!! Check out the arm.

On to Michigan... Lola and I got home from visiting Kristi and her family Sunday night. It was so fun to be able to go and meet Kristi's new baby, Bryn and see all the rest of her family as well.

We got in on Wednesday afternoon and relaxed. Thursday we went to Nordstrom and played and watched movies and pretty much for the rest of the time, we ate, relaxed, watched movies, and took care of all the little girls. It was a great break from work and making headbands and just normal life. It was hard to come back to work yesterday... but I will survive. ha ha We would like to thank the Lillian's for being such great hosts and playing with us. We had so much fun and can't wait to go visit them again when they move to Texas!

Here are some pics of the girls for your enjoyment. There are none of Kristi and I because she insisted that I didn't take any of her because she said her "face looked horrible". I wasn't in the mood to fight her on it ha ha So you will have to wait til the next trip for that.
Lucy
Lola and Bryn, lots of car seats, 3 in a row!
Baby Bryn with the headband I made her :)
All 3 of them, it sure is hard to get a good pic of everyone... I put all the takes on here because it is so funny. This is where Lola makes "the face". Kristi bought them all matching outfits, so cute! Thanks Kristi!
Bryn's headband is made by me too!
I sure do love these beautiful girls! {and Kristi too} :)

My optomistic post... subtle eh?

I was challenged HERE to link an optimistic post, whether old or new, to this blog for a little contest. Well, I wanted to write a new one, because it is a good day and I have a lot to be happy about/thankful for!! If you want to help me win a little contest click on "HERE" above to vote for me! All you have to do is leave a comment on that post that says you vote for "Daris Day". If you don't want to vote, then just enjoy this happy post! ;)

This little saying/picture above is a good one for me to look at daily, because lets face it, I work in Customer Service... no it really isn't that bad and most of the callers are nice.

Here are a few things I am happy about:

  • Today is Friday, that means no work for 2 days!

  • Lola, she is my angel and my happiness.

  • Chris is so funny and thinks I am pretty. He lets me know that daily and we all know how a girl needs to hear that often! {I heart him for sure}

  • Tomorrow I get to go to Nordstrom with mom and sis and get makeovers and get our eyebrows sculpted!

  • Lola gets her {late} 6 month pictures taken this weekend.

  • I have a great job and I no longer have to work Saturdays, hallelujah!!!

  • It is getting warmer here in Utah... we'll see how long it lasts.

  • I am doing something I LOVE.

  • I have great family and friends!!

  • I am HAPPY and CONTENT with my life!

Happy Friday and Happy Spring!!!!

PF Chang's, shopping, and Coalminer's Daughter

This weekend was a lot of fun! My friend Ali has been in town! I came down to my parents house so I would be closer and could play with everybody!

Me, Ali, and Rachel {nice face!}

Friday Ali, Rach, and Lily came to my parents and we hung out and relaxed.

Lily and Lola got along swimmingly ;) Then Ali decided she would name her first born, Loly {Lola and Lily combined} ha ha

That night we {Lola and I, Chris had tons of homework and then got sick :( } hung out with my family and ate yummy thai food.
Saturday I met up with the ladies and we ate lunch at PF Chang's and shopped. It was a fabulous time, filled with crazy stories, lots of giggles, and Ali changing her mind at least 3 times on what she wanted at lunch ;)

That night I hung out with Lola and the fam again.

Sunday we went to church with my family and then I made a bunch of headbands and Nicole modeled them for me.

{don't mind that my hair looks like a rats nest}

Then we watched the Coalminer's Daughter with my mom. I bought it for my mom for her B-day, per her request. It is the story of Loretta Lynn and was quite entertaining if I do say so myself. It was pretty cute.

Aunt Nic, taking pics with Lolita!! {these are too cute!}

She did what!?

This weekend I went to my good friend Amanda's house for a "Girl's Night", we ate delicious cupcakes, that Amanda made, played Sing Star to its fullest potential... it was INTENSE!, painted nails, waxed stuff, and laughed our butts off. Not to mention I told a few incriminating stories, well... embarassing stories. It was so so so much fun!!! Thanks Amanda! But while we were chatting Amanda mentioned an email she had sent me {which I hadn't been able to look at yet} about this crazy proposal story. So today I finally looked at the email, which took me to this girls blog and man is her engagement story the funniest/craziest story I've heard in a long time!!! You HAVE to see this and just be grateful that this isn't your engagement story. {well, they did get on the Today Show because of it} I actually joked with the ladies that we would see it on the Daily Show in a few days, I will keep my eye on Comedy Central, just in case. Let me know what you guys think!
