MUSIC MONDAY

I hope you all had a fantabulous weekend and Mother's Day! I know I did, especially because I won this AWESOME SVAN HIGHCHAIR from this website. She is the awesome, her name is Rebecca Woolf, she wrote the book I recommended a while ago called "Rockabye". A great recommendation for those of you who like brutal honesty and don't mind some colorful language... :) So that definitely made my weekend even better! We have been needing to buy the lady a highchair for a bit now, but so far have been either lazy or forgetful and haven't purchased one yet. This was perfect!!! I can't wait to get it and get one of the cute cushion covers for it! YAY!!!
Well onto the music, this week it is "Elephant Gun" by Beirut. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video and want to be one of the dancers in it. {which reminds me, I have decided that if I hear a song that inspires me to choreograph, I am going to do it. I have a pretty big TV room in the basement that could definitely double as a dance studio-minus the mirrors and hardwood floor...} This song is from the "Elephant Gun EP" released in 2007. I love all of the different instruments used in this bands music and Zach Condon's beautiful voice. All of Beirut's music is great.
*Remember to pause the player on the side*

Do you guys have any ideas of good places {that aren't too pricey} where I can get a swimsuit like this, you know, the cute 1920's style...??

  1. They had a swimming suit very similar like that at Downeast Outfitters. Not entirely but it was like a one piece skirtish look...? Other then that I also struggled quite a bit finding the perfect swimming bottoms this year(could swimming suit shopping get any harder....???)

  3. I'm in love with that High Chair!!! How exciting for you!

And about you being a dancer in this video....Is it because you really wanna have an elephant nose? :)

  4. mybabyjo.com has cute vintage swimsuits. I have one of them and I've received many compliments from it. Most of them are 40's 50's vintage, but you might find something you like.

  5. I'm with you on the whole choreography thing, I still see dances in my head when I hear good music! I made up a dance for my sis-in-law's recital in my kitchen, and it made me ambitious enough to clean out my extra bedroom so I could have room do dance in there!
