Thanks for the support

After I wrote my post about getting more fit I received so much support and lots of sweet and inspiring comments.  I seriously got a little teary reading them and it made me realize how inspiring and encouraging we can be for one another.  It got me thinking...  I wonder if there are more of us out there that are working on or want to get started on fitness goals and want other ladies to share with and gain strength and support from. 

I am thinking of maybe starting up a Facebook group of some sort where we can share stories, goals, pics(if you choose), and ideas for one another, to gain the motivation we need to keep on track for the goal of a healthier lifestyle.  What do you guys think?  We wouldn't have to share specifics like our weight or other personal things (unless you wanted to) but we could have a place to go to vent about our bad day or get inspired to keep going.  I know that what made a big difference for me was when we started doing the Biggest Loser at work and I knew I had to face that scale once a week and be held accountable for what it said.  The group could be the place where we say what our goals are out loud and then actually try to reach them.  Instead of saying it to ourselves and never getting started or giving up after a little while.

It wouldn't be anything too intense and definitely not competitive, just supportive and fun and inspirational.  Let me know what you guys think.

I can happily say that I am still working out 4-5 times a week and am using the 'myfitnesspal' app to track all my calories and such and am continuing to lose. (slowly but surely)  I know that you guys can reach your fitness/weight loss goals too :)



  1. Me too! I just starting using My Fitness Pal and have a stack of workout DVDs that I need to get moving to!
