I have been slacking. I thought that I would get in more blogging while I was home with Lola... ha ha I have less time for blogging now than I did at work muah ha ha So I decided I would throw you guys a brief update and my new "problem" since being a Stay At Home Mom for a couple of months.

This weekend she met quite a few new people. A bunch of Nicole's friends at her friend Jaime's bridal shower and then we also got to hang out with my aunts, grandma, cousin, mom, and sis at Heather's house while we watched the Relief Society Broadcast and had dinner with the ladies. It was quite a fun day!!

Here is the problem as before mentioned:

I am addicted to TV. I always have been and have mentioned it before but now that I am home more and the fall line up just started again, I am watching a good amount of television. I went to set my DVR to record the new episodes of "Pushing Daisies" and it wouldn't because it was already recording "America's Next Top Model" and "Project Runway" at the exact same time. Oh dear... I am admitting that I have a problem and want you guys to tell me what your TV addictions are. Some of my other favs are: "The Office", "Grey's Anatomy", "Desperate Housewives", "The Rachel Zoe Project", "The Locator", "The Hills"(I know, I know), "Ghost Whisperer". I love TV!!!

Around the Perry residence

This last week Kristi, my BFF from Michigan, came to spend the week with us and meet baby Lola. It was so much fun!! We got out a little bit and it was so fun to see Kristi again! While she was here we: went to the Gateway for a short trip and Happy Sumo, we did a little more shopping later in the week, we went and visited Grandpa and Mamah Gordon, we relaxed at home (of course) and watched lots of movies at home. It was so great to see Kristi (and her little pregnant tummy) and let her get to know Lola!! Even though she is so far away I still talk to her everyday and see her about once a year. Not too bad for a long distance relationship ;) Thanks so much for coming all the way out to see us Kristi, you are a great friend!! I will put up a pic when she sends them to me.

Also this week, Lola was able to take her first real bath since her belly button yucky fell off. So here are some pics to document it. She is still not sure if she likes baths but she did a little better with her mini tub baths vs the wash cloth baths. She is still being such a good baby and is only fussy when she is hungry or has a gas bubble, etc. Last week I forgot to say how much she weighed at her 2 week appt. She weighed 10lbs 5oz. which means she is probably close to 11lbs now. We are so grateful that she is healthy, strong, and happy.

Saturday Lola got to hang out with Lucy, our friend Chris and Tami's baby. It is fun to have friends that have a baby too, that we can hang out with and feel like we aren't the odd ones out haha Lucy is almost one but we know when Lola gets a little bigger, they will be great friends!

We have some fun things coming up this week so we will have to blog about them next week, one of them is Brit and Mike's sealing!!! I am so excited for them and am happy to be a part of their BIG day!! :)

Week one of motherhood

So I promise at some point my blog will get back to talking about other things than Lola but she is the center of my universe right now and I am not going to act like she's not ha ha I am obsessed with my little lady!!! She is beautiful and perfect and sweet and lovely and everything great that you could say.




So far she:

• BF's well aka breast feeds, I am sure you all wanted to know that.. but its important!


• Sleeps pretty well. Usually only 1 or 2 wakings a night.


• Sleeps most of the day


• Pee's and poo's like a champ, that is also important for new babies


• Has reached her birth weight again. A lot of babies don't do that until 2 weeks old :)


• Was stamped with the Grade A approval at her pediatrician appt yesterday


• Got some oh so cute pics taken by awesome aunt Heather... I will post them when we get them back!

She is practically perfect in every way... Mary Poppins style. So my transition into motherhood has been a smooth one. Chris is so cute with her and loves her more than anything as well. He also worries about every single little thing... he has never really been around babies ;)

Sunday night around 4:45pm this perfect 9lb 12oz, lil angel came into our lives. We will never be the same and could not be happier about it. We are truly blessed beyond measure... more details to come. For now I am busy being a mom :) We love you more than anything Princess Lola!!!
