Lola is crawling!

This video is hilarious!  She will crawl just enough to get within reach of desired object, then sprawl out and reach.  She is still really lazy but at least she can crawl... finally, right? ha ha  She is getting better at crawling everyday!

Yes in the end of this video she has a little swimmer on her head courtesy of Chris.  Ignore the messy room, I was in the middle of laundry ;)

Work has slowed my blogging flow...

Work is watching my department a little closer lately, so my boss has asked us to limit our internet use.  Man, has that hurt my little blogging routine.  It is hard to find time to blog whilst home... Hopefully I can get in a groove so I can keep my regular posts going :)

This last weekend was so much fun!  We went down to my parents for the weekend, my friend Ali was in town so I hung out with her and Rachel a bunch too!  It was a lot of fun.  I also had another headband party, my aunt invited me come and sell at her Arbonne party.  Thanks Cheralyn!

Here is a photo wrap up of the weekend

Lola and mamah on the 24th

Lola didn't love the Otter Pop, she wanted the ice cream bar back.

Zoe, Lou and Ava at the parade {Lola is reaching for some mini m&m's, she loved shaking the container}

All of the ladies at the parade!

Ali, Rach and I

These girls are a riot!  I always laugh so hard when I am with them and since Ali lives in Florida we really have to get all the girl talk in while she is here.  Of course we ate at PF Chang's {like usual} and did some shopping.  Thanks for a fun weekend, you beautiful ladies!

Don't forget to enter the Giveaway!!

CLICK HERE to go to the post about the GIVEAWAY, you can enter until midnight on the 24th {Friday} and winners will be selected Saturday. Don't forget to leave a comment if you enter :)

Just a few thoughts...

I have been back at the headband thing lately. A few custom orders and getting ready for an open house this weekend in Farmington! {If any of you guys up this way want to come, leave me a comment or email me and I will send you the details, its this Saturday the 25th at 2:00pm} Here are some of the headbands.

A custom order for my aunt. She is expecting a little girl and has a cute little outfit that she wanted this headband for. I think this turned out so delicate and pretty!

This one is for my friend Ali, she sent the pic below and asked me to mimic it.

Here is my interpretation. I couldn't find the exact flower, but she said she likes the one I used better. So I was glad she was happy with it! {excuse my crappy pics}

This is the newest headband in the store, I love it!! I know the flower is pretty large but looks so cute on and in fun and summery {nice made-up word, eh?} Go HERE to see it.

On a different note:

Last night I made one of our favorite meals, Red Chicken Curry MMmmm

Lola and Elmo were great "helpers", she took every utensil out of the big utensil basket and banged them around and threw them on the floor :)

I couldn't resist posting this picture. This was Lou on Sunday after eating some of my brownie with 2 kinds of frosting on it,{my mom makes awesome brownies she calls them brownies deluxe} she was obsessed and kept taking the biggest bites, we were laughing so hard. She is a character. Mind you this was after Lola flirted and flirted with my little sister's male dinner guest. Who was quite a cute guy. Should I be worried?? She even gave him a big smooch!

Here it is: "One of These Days" by Owen off the album, "At Home With". This album was released in November of 2006. He is one of the most talented artist I know. He plays all the instruments and sings. He tours solo and plays accoustic. BUY HIS MUSIC!! It will touch your heart!

1, 2, 3, 4 things to talk about

  • Chris's softball team or Team Green as we so lovingly refer to them {since they don't have a real name} WON 1st place in their Kaysville league for the 2nd YEAR IN A ROW!! Congrats guys!! After playing the #1 team 3 times in one night they came out victorious. The last 2 games they literally STOMPED on the other team. {I may have yelled some profanities at a jerk that couldn't shut his mouth on the other team.. oops}

  • Lola and I decided to go for a dip on my day off on Tuesday. She sure likes the water and is so much fun to play with at the pool. The moms always ask how old she is and almost pass out when they hear that she is only 10 months old ha ha They always reply, "She is so tall". Yes, yes, nice lady, she is.

      As you can tell she is really good at not smiling in pictures and making weird faces in some of them...

      We went with my fam, minus Nicole {Lake Powell} and Rhett {his mish in Mehico, notice the Mexican phonetic spelling} to see the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple and to din din at Iggy's. It was a lot of fun and Lola kept things lively. She did the best sour face/shiver when she ate a lemon at the restaurant HA HA

  • TV SHOWS: We finished watching the LOST DVD's are you kidding me??? Now we have to wait until WHHHEN? We are excited to be caught up though. THE BACHELORETTE what do you guys think about Ed's whole situation? Embarrassing much... I would say so. I love Ed and Kiptyn but am not sure either of them is a fabulous companion for her. TORI & DEAN- HOME SWEET HOLLYWOOD I love this show, don't judge. ;) SYTYCD who do you guys like? What do you think about the girl from Utah? I really like most everyone this season. They are all so good this year!! I think Melissa is so sweet and such a beautiful dancer.

Monday Music belated, yet again

THE DEAR HUNTER

I mentioned these guys a few posts back. We saw them recently with mewithoutYou. This band is so talented! They are great live {if you are not good live, you are not a great musician, in my humble opinion...}
This song is called "Red Hands" from the album, "Act II: The Meaning of, and All Things Regarding Ms. Leading" released in 2007. They just released a new album last month called, "Act III: Life and Death". This new album is sooo good!! You should all go buy/download it. Apparently these guys don't make music videos... at least I couldn't find any.

My new motto...

This girl is too cute! I found this pic online.

I was just commenting on my friend Rachel's blog, where she was complaining about people saying to her,

"I look like I'm wearing their dead grandma's clothes, or wondering if I rummaged through DI's dumpsters".
{Mind you she always looks cute and even sews some of her own things.} So I told her,

"Being different is always better. I work in damn Farr West, UT, you bet I get snide comments about my clothes/jewelry/head accessories on a daily basis and you know what??

I wouldn't have it any other way. I would rather dare to go out on a limb than sit on the ground staring up at the tree, pointing and laughing, with all the other boring/bland sheep..."

{pardon the french but it drives me nuts how people can't keep their not-so-nice comments to themselves}

Since when has being original or having a sense of style become a crime? I always laugh and go along with what they say because in my head I am thinking, "if you only had a clue...". It does get old, but I wouldn't ever stop dressing in a way that is fun and makes me feel cute :)

Have you guys had any similar experiences? OR Do you have people in your lives that say not-so-nice/inappropriate things to you?

I hope Rachel doesn't mind me quoting her on my lil blog here. Thanks Rach, you got me thinking.

Late Music Monday... Monday was too busy!

INTERPOL
From New York, New York, formed in 1998. I just love these guys and have been in the mood for them lately. They are definitely an acquired taste... I have loved these guys for years and remember seeing them at the "Curiousa" tour at Usana a few years back with my BFF Chad. Some of their songs were on our American Eagle soundtrack when we worked there, so we were excited to get to know them a little better after that. {I miss you Chad!}
Here is "Obsticle 1" from the "Turn on the Bright Lights"album-2002.

Here is "No I in Threesome" from the "Our Love To Admire" album- 2007.

    {the flash on my phone is well, intense to say the least so ignore the squinty eyes and my flying hair}

  • Having homemade icecream and rootbeer {this only happens but once a year!}

  • Chris having Sunday off so we got to spend the WHOLE weekend together!
  • Friday= Blue Plate Diner, Nordstrom, and pedicures with Amanda {and Lola}, need I say more?!
