*Under Construction*

I have decided to open an Etsy store!!!

You know those cute feather headbands that I made and always wear?? Well I get so many compliments on them and people always ask where I get them. When I tell them that I made it, they are always impressed {thanks :)} and/or say that I should open an Etsy Shoppe {I like that spelling best!} Well, I am taking the plunge. I have been head-banding non-stop {when Lola and job permits} since Tuesday and I have made good headway. So as soon as cute Jess finishes my designs, I pick one, get good pictures of the products, and finish creating, the store will be open for business!!!!
I put a little sneak peek on my facebook if you want to see some of them. I would love your opinions too so I know what to keep doing and what to improve on! The store is named Daris Day and the address will be DarisDay.etsy.com.
Here are a couple teasers:

My gals are great!

This last week so many great things have taken place!

First of all, my BFF Kristi had he little baby girl. She was born Friday afternoon and was nameless until Saturday but they decided on Bryn River. SOO cute!! She was 7 lbs 2 oz. {wouldn't that be nice, ha ha} I am so excited to see her in real life and cuddle the crap out of her. Lola and I are going to visit March 11th-15th, Michigan, here we come! Here are some pics of the little princess.

Look at that pouty lip, so cute!

Second, on Friday night I got together with some of my greatest girlfriends at the Gateway. Chris watched the little lady and I had my first real girls night without the princess. We ate din din at Z Teja's then went to see Coraline in 3d!

Me, Kim, Brit, Sindee, and M'Liss

You may be wondering who this man, or rather, who this moustache is? Well I spied him with my little eye and had to steal Jeanette's camera to capture a pic of this rockin facial hair ha ha It was awesome! He was at the table next to us. Puts Tom Sellek to shame.

We, of course, were stoked about the 3d glasses and how great we looked in them. So we were snapping a few pics and giggling like girls do, before the previews or anything started, and the girl that was on a date behind us started murmuring something about, "have you never been to a 3d movie before... never worn 3d glasses... stop taking pictures" so any of you that know me well, you know I can be a spit fire. I couldn't just ignore her.

Here is how it went:

Rude girl behind us(RGBU): {all of the before mentioned rudeness}

me: {I turn around and look her in the face}

RGBU: "Yes, I'm talking about you guys."

me: "It's ok, calm down, honey." and turn back around and ignore any reply she may have made back. {I am a lady after all ha}

Mind you, I said that in the sweetest, kindest, yet most degrading voice I could muster. I think calling people that you don't know honey, dear, hun, sweetie is one of the most disrespectful/talking down to, things that you could do. Hence my use of it. Its ok to call your friends or loved ones those things, but not a complete stranger! Some people are so ornery and can't let other people be goofy and have fun ;)

I didn't tell any of the ladies until after the movie so I didn't ruin the fun for anyone else and burst their "giddy, 3D, picture taking" bubble.

Saturday I worked and then Chris, Lola and I hung out at Barnes and Noble and bought Lola some cute clothes at Old Navy with a gift card we had. Then Chris' parents came over to our house to watch the Jazz game and we ate yummy Famous Dave's to-go. A fun weekend indeed.
Lola on our way to church in her snazzy new outfit :)

In other news: Do any of you watch the Bachelor or The Biggest Loser? I am loving them. I am so mad that Jillian got kicked off of the bachelor last week, I loved her!! What do you think about the contestants on the Biggest Loser? Please comment away.

LOVE, LOve, love

We had a very fun weekend visiting my family down in Payson. We actually met up with my parents in Salt Lake at the Gateway on Saturday and ate Happy Sumo then shopped a bit. It was fun to hang out with my parents and help get everyone Valentine's gifts from my parents. My parents bought me the cutest coat from one of my FAV stores Anthropologie. Man was I excited!!! I can never afford to get myself things from there, unless they are way on sale... plus my money goes so much further at Forever 21 :) Then we spent the rest of the weekend at their place and we even had a "romantic" family dinner at Los 4 Amigos in Payson ha ha Gotta love that place! The dinner included:
  • Crazy red, heart mylar ballons EVERYWHERE!
  • A cute Mexican boy handing flowers out to the ladies that came in.
  • Ryker spilling his Sangria all over half of the table.
  • Lola "drinking" water out of a cup. {ya she does that already... crazy. Not well though;) }

There are so many cute pics of Lola this weekend and a cute video too that you all can enjoy. Which brings me to my next thought...

Lately I find myself coming back to the same thought. Lola is amazing! Never in my life could I have imagined how much I could love her. WOW!!! It astounds me. I just look at her and it warms my heart. I knew I was very excited to be a mom and would love her so much. But being a mom is everything I thought it would be and SO MUCH MORE. I could not possibly love her one little smidge more. She makes me happy when I am sad. She brings Chris and I closer to each other. She makes me want to be a better person, so I deserve to be her mom. I seriously enjoy EVERY moment with her. Even when she is bawling, when I am putting her to bed, because she is exhausted. Last night she was fighting sleep so hard and was being a little stinker and I just sat there rocking her, thinking of how much I love her and kissing her little head. She is our princess. She is the most beautiful person I have ever seen and she makes me excited to get up everyday!

I just felt like I wanted to write about this because it has been such a recurring thought lately. I love babies!!! I would have another one soon if I didn't feel like I would be robbing Lola of her "babyhood" {Oh and the fact that we probably can't afford another one, ha ha} I am so excited to enjoy the stuffing out of Lola as she grows up and becomes a bigger baby and then a toddler and then a little girl and then.... I am not so sure I will enjoy the teenage years. {Thank heavens that is a ways off} Here she is, the princess herself!! Little lady, I couldn't possibly love you more!!

P.S. Did any of you guys watch the Office this week?? Sometimes I call Lola "Princess Lady". I was dying when Angela named her new "show cat" that!! Oh gees, Angela's cat nanny cam, that was CLASSIC!

This is Lola's new beanie that I am in love with and just bought her. I was trying to get a cute pic of her and the beanie... "problem is", when I put my phone up to take a pic, she gets so excited and opens her mouth to try and eat it and flails her arms around, so here is how it went.

This is Lola with Ryker's glasses on, she didn't even mind :) As you can tell, she never holds still.

I found this pic of Lola and I at church, from a while ago too.

Nicole was making her laugh so hard, this was the first time I had heard some of these giggles!

je t'aime

Yes, yes it is that time of year again. Valentine's is fun and all but we just had our Anniversary so V day isn't as big for us. It's fun to give little candy gifts to each other and such. But I'm not all about going out and fighting the crowds or expecting a huge gift, by any means.

I have been majorly slacking at this blogging thing lately. OOPS.

I however have been doing fun things lately:

  • Going to the Gateway with Nicole, Chelsea, Amy, Tami and her baby Lucy and of course Lola. Tami and I were glad the cute single ladies let us tag along ;)

  • I have started going back to the gym. So all the encouragement that you have, feel free to send it my way. I want to lose 20 LBS!

  • We went out to Ahh Sushi for Amanda V's birthday!! Love her!! It was fun to hang with her and Scotty... its been too long!

  • I finished reading Rockabye by Rebecca Woolf {a great read for young, hip mom's... that don't mind some honesty and some harsh language} and read Confessions of a Shopaholic over the last week or so {I've had the book forever, oops} and am FINALLY going to now finish Breaking Dawn... please don't kill me for not reading it already. For some reason I became disinterested and read a few other books. Now I am ready and raring to go!

  • Gave blood while the nurses were loving on Lola. Is that fun??

But I have a couple of questions to pose to the few of you that still read my blog... Here they are:

  1. Do you read your blogs the "old fashioned" way= one by one, going to each blog OR
    Do you use google reader?

  2. If you use google reader, do you think it hinders your commenting on people's blogs, because it takes a couple extra steps to get to the blog?

I look at google analytics and I get quite a few page views, but I get hardly any comments so I am wondering if google reader is a factor in that {AKA LEAVE ME MORE COMMENTS} :) It would make me happy. ha ha

I hope you all have a fabulous Valentines Day with the one(s) you love.

Lola showing you how much she loves V day!

Happy dos Anniversary

Yes I don't know Spanish, so even my small attempt at Spanglish may be offensive in its wrong nature ha ha But the point is that TODAY is our 2nd wedding anniversary!!!!

I am at work and so is Chris. He has school after work and I don't get off until 8. So the festivities will have to begin tomorrow. I would just like to say that these past two years have been the most amazing and fulfilling years of my entire life. We have done well, I believe. Minimal arguments, lots of fun times, a beautiful baby girl and so many memories. I am so grateful to have married such a sweet, sensitive, loving, caring, funny, strong, and wonderful man! He is an amazing father and is my best friend. I am content just being home with him and Lola. They are my life.

I love you Chris!!!!
Here are a few pictures for your nostalgic enjoyment...
