Changes

Sorry for the lack of posts....
  • I have started my new job(s)... yes they have me working in 2 different dept's talk about learning a lot and being stressed!

  • Working in a place where internet use is conditional upon how busy my phone is... it varies

  • Not too much going on but hanging out with my cute hubby and little lady

  • I kinda forgot about this bloggeroo for a quick minute

A fun thing that Lola and I did last week though, was meet up with my dear madre and go to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and go shopping at Nordstrom!! I had Nordstrom notes and a samll gift card to use {thanks to those of you that signed up for Shop It To Me, if you haven't signed up, see the post below, its AWESOME!} We had a great day and to add to the fun Lola had a blow out while my mom and I were trying on clothes so I ran over to the baby dept and bought her a cute CLEARANCE onesie {and a binky and binky clip, for good measure} I did resist buying her the Ed Hardy velour jumpsuit... it was hard.

This weekend was pretty mellow but we did hang out with Chris's parents and eat gluten-free pizza from Pier 49. May the heavens above bless Pier 49 for allowing my hubby to eat pizza without feeling sick and breaking out in a rash {dang celiacs!}

Also I worked my first Saturday in 4 years or so.... NOT COOL. I am hoping to get out of those ASAP. The good new is, I am doing something that makes the time go by oober fast and I work with nice people. So for now I need to just suck it up.

Sorry for the semi-boring post... here is a pic of the cutest lady ever!

Sometimes she holds her own bottle!! This time she was holding her blankie and her bottle. She is getting big too fast. She loves to grab things now and she eats like a little piggie, including rice cereal. She seems to enjoy it!

Lola and her cute friend Lucy. They are just shy of a year apart. Lucy was trying to feed Lola her bottle. Soo cute! That was a fun night with Chris, Tami, and Lucy!

Shop it to me!

There is an awesome website that I just signed up for. Here's the 411:

  • You sign-up and give them your email address

  • You tell them your favorite stores and brands and/or sizes

  • Once a week or a couple days a week {you choose the frequency} they send you and email telling you the things that are on sale, based on what you picked for your fav's and sizes!

  • Plus if you forward an email about them to your friends and they sign up for the emails, you can earn $10 gift cards to the stores of your choice!!!

It's awesome to have someone do the work for you and you get the good deals!!!! Plus I just got a Nordstrom Gift Card in the mail from them yesterday. So they are good on their word :)

Please leave your email in the comments if you want me to forward you the email from them so I get credit and then you can send it to your friends to earn a gift card too {I'll erase your email address after I read your comment, no worries}

You gotta love a GOOD DEAL!!!

My talents- chopping my hair and making babies

First of all, I chopped my hair.
I know, you didn't think it could get much shorter...
in the words of my BFF Kristi, "Wait, I thought it was already chopped?". This was her response when I told her I was "chopping it". ha ha
But alas my friends, it can get shorter and that it did!

This second pic is to show off the headband I made this weekend. I have been trying to be more "crafty". I think it is working out so far. {?}
Here are the headbands I made this weekend!! I love them. I wore the pheasant feather one on Saturday night out to eat.... ok and to church on Sunday and I got so many compliments. I was very excited for my work of art!!
In other news... Lola wore her first pair of jeans this weekend and man, was it cute. This girl just keeps getting cuter every stinkin day! Look at that little side smile she has in that pic. I could just eat her up!

My friend Amanda posted {on her blog} a picture of the baby she made with pics of her and her hubby, HERE.

Then she challenged everyone else to make theirs on the above website and post them. But she said we'd better make ugly babies as well, since theirs was pretty scary looking. So I went to the website and made one... sure enough it was pretty ugly, so I decided to post it and challenge you guys to do the same thing. This baby would be cute if his nose wasn't half of his face... But all babies are cute right? {I know Rach will disagree ha ha}

4 month check up

Yesterday was the appt. and here are the stats:
  • Height: 26.20"---- 100th percentile {the nurse said almost 105th...}
  • Weight: 16 lbs----- 95th percentile

Yep she is a tall lady just like we knew she would be!! She has gained almost 6 LBS in the last 2 months!!! I am so glad to know that she is growing healthy and strong. She was a good girl for the Dr {even though she farted when he was checking her out} She smiled and coo'ed and was adorable. She got a couple shots too. The first one didn't even affect her because she was drinking a bottle but the second one gave her a fright and she did a big hard cry until I picked her up... and then she was fine. She is a good girl!!!
Gotta love the red shoes

Her little tummy is my favorite!

Here is a video of her playing in her little bouncy toy. She loves to watch the lights, hear the music, and bounce around! She has really discovered that she can make noises lately. This is a small sampling.

I thought this was funny.

I have really liked this design that I saw on Etsy. It has gained quite a bit of attention lately. {I even saw it hung in someone's house on "Lipstick Jungle", great show by the way} It's a very cute and simple design and motto. I got a smaller version for free in my order of my Obama prints that I bought from her. I have the small saying hanging in my bedroom. How true it is...

One day I saw this version of it on the internet and I couldn't pass it by. Right now this is the version I am trying NOT to do. Too cute!

Don't we all want to do the second every now and then??

-and a good weekend it was-

Reasons why this last weekend was great {and was a much needed break from my not awesome working environment}
  • New Years Eve at Kim and Steve's with friends and my mom-in-law and Kim singing on Guitar Hero World Tour... CLASSIC!

  • Meeting Nicole at the Gateway for Happy Sumo and shopping

  • Buying the 1st season of GOSSIP GIRL for $17 and then proceeding to watch the ENTIRE thing... I am ADDICTED. I {heart} that show!!!

  • Going to Outback Steakhouse with my Chris, Lola, in laws, Kim & Steve and CJ. Then shopping at Target with them when Chris yells at the top of his lungs, "Look everybody its Tom Sellek". {That is what he calls Steve because he looks just like him} I didn't know you could echo in Target... I am NOT exaggerating. Steve's face was bright red. HILARITY!

  • John and Snigga coming to visit and playing Scene It and Rock Band 2 on the X box 360

  • Lola having a blow out in the middle of my Sunday School lesson so my poor teaching partner had to change her diaper HA HA

  • Watching the Dark Knight at our friend Ian's house on his dad's new 73" LCD TV... 73"...honestly, that is RIDICULOUS??

  • Most importantly just spending quality time with Chris and Lola!!!

Here are some pics of Lola this morning getting bundled up to go to Monica's house. She is a doll!
