Chad's Birthday

If anyone deserves a Birthday Tribute it is Chad!! He is one of my BFF's {Kristi is the other one}

Here are just a few of the things I love about my bestie!

  • He is one of the most "in touch" people I know. He is always thinking on a higher level. He wants to be happy mentally and spiritually.

  • He always makes you feel like a million bucks. He was {and still is} invaluable when I was a single lady on the prowl. He would leave me notes telling me how great and beautiful I was, it always brightened my day!

  • He is a family man! He loves his mom and siblings and is a great uncle to his nieces and nephew.

  • He is a very good looking guy, even though he calls me every now and then when he feels otherwise and needs a reminder.
  • {Old school Chad and Dari}

  • He is the best girlfriend a girl could ask for. He can tell you what looks good on you and what is not so flattering. That is why he can sell like a champ, like back when we were running American Eagle ;)

  • He is always striving to gain knowledge and grow as a person.

  • He has a magnetic personality. I have not met a single person who doesn't love Chad. Everyone that I have spoken to about him just loves him to death.

  • He loves Chris. It was kinda hard on Chad when I got married but Chad is so great to Chris and Chris loves him back. I love hanging out with my 2 boys!

  • Chad is very excited to be an uncle again {or god-father depending on the day} He is very excited to meet little Lola!

  • Most of all he is a great friend to me and I hope I am the same to him. It is hard not living as close right now but I love it when he comes and has sleep overs at our house!

HAPPY 28th BIRTHDAY CHADDY!!!

This is why I am excited for a little girl...

Ok I saw this on someone else's blog and I couldn't resist. HA HA It is HILARIOUS!! This girl is all over the song "My Humps". This is worth at least watching the first minute, if you proceed further, you will get even more diva attitude and dance moves. I LOVE IT!!! Lola will definitely be learning some good tunes in her young, formative, years... If this little girl only knew what she was singing about!!!

This is dedicated to my sis Nicole... You know how we roll!

My weekend

This week my weekend started early- Chris, Scott, and I went to Jordan Commons for the midnight showing of the Dark Night on Thursday. Oh man, that was a great movie. Too bad I missed some of it because our seats were so close that I got motion sickness and had to get up and go walk around and hang out at the back of the theater and watch while standing, so I wouldn't hurl on the people sitting in front of me ha ha But the movie was great, it was intense, scary, creepy, action packed, and had a lot of twists and turns. I recommend it to everyone, but little children... too scary for most peeps under 12 I would say or my friend Tami. She said when she saw it, she wanted to leave early because it scared her, but she is easily scared...

The next morning I was off to girls camp. It was on the ward level so we rented a couple of sites up at South Fork camp ground near Pine View. Luckily when I got up there we ate lunch then hung out in the little river/stream and relaxed while the girls inter tubed on the river. My legs got very sun burnt but the sunscreen worked fairly well on the rest of me and I got to use my maternity swim suit (it was a hit, I got lots of compliments on how cute it was!) Later that evening some of the parents and the bishopric and wives came up to see the girls skits, eat awesome food prepared by us and Jaime's husband Chris and have a testimony meeting. The skits were cute and the food was great! We had ribs, potatoes, corn, carrots, pasta salad, relish tray, chips and fresh salsa, green salad, watermelon, and dutch-oven peach cobbler. It was quite the feast! {Thanks Jaime and Chris!!!}

The next morning we ate a yummy breakfast prepared by Chef Chris and we packed up and headed home. It was a short trip for me but was a good length for my pregnant state. Here is a cute slide show that I STOLE FROM JAIME, again. Because I forgot my camera and wasn't there for a lot of the good photo ops.

When I got home on Saturday I was itching to deep clean the house. Chris and I worked hard all day and got it looking pretty good! We even did some stuff in the back yard... our neighbors are thankful, I am sure. Then Yoda (Chris' parents dog) decided he was going to poop a huge pile of poop in the living room.... we both almost lost it and I may have shed a small tear. Yes, we are dog sitting his parents dogs for TWO and a HALF WEEKS. If I get institutionalized or kill someone, you know why. I feel very uncomfy in my own home right now. They are good dogs but are a little overwhelming at times. So we decided we needed to get out! We ate dinner at El Burrito and went to relax at Barnes and Noble. Just what we needed, we were in good spirits! Then we headed to hang out with a bunch of friends at Chris and Tami's house.

Sunday was the usual and I even made all three meals and a cake!!! I was a domestic goddess this weekend!!! I can't believe it is Monday already! Hope you all had a great weekend!

P.S. I chopped my hair off and feel a lot better about myself now!! Yay for cute hair!

Baby Update

First off, if you haven't left me a memory on the post below please do so, I love so so much, reading all the fun memories people share with me!!!

The Dr's apt went very well. Lola is growing and growing and once again he said that I can wait 3 instead of 2 weeks to come back because she is doing so great!! That makes us very happy. She now weighs an estimated 5lbs 5oz... she just keeps getting bigger and bigger! {So do I... as you can see below.} She is still measuring a little over two weeks ahead of schedule. Now that she is getting bigger, some of the kicks and stretches hurt me. Chris always says, "How rude" when she kicks too hard ha ha He is a cutie. Doc tried to get us a cute pic of her face but she was facing backward and was not cooperating, maybe next time.

{Chris and I}

Here are some large pics of me in the meantime...

{please ignore the extra roll caused by my tight, non-maternity garments I was wearing that day...}

{oh how true and sad the following illustration is... just ask Chris ha ha}

~MeMoRiEs~

I have seen this on a bunch of blogs lately and I think it sounds like soo much fun, please participate {if you'd like}:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

P.S. I am now 32 weeks along and we have a baby Dr appt this afternoon... updates tomorrow :)

Here is a pic of the huge belly!

Softball and more softball

Chris has been playing A LOT of softball this summer. He is really enjoying it and is quite good, if I might say so myself. His main team was "The Jazz", he played with all of his high school and Layton buddies in a league in Kaysville. I always went to these games! Lots of fun and I got to hang out with Sniggerdu, what's not to love about that?! Chris plays first base and has some killer splits that I surprisingly didn't know about! I told Snigga that I train him and do stretching exercises with him, as well as making him take yoga... ALL LIES. ha ha
Well this last Monday "The Jazz" finished up this leagues tourney as #1!!!! That is right, they won the tournament in their catagory. So here is a pic of Chris and Johnny showing off the rather ginormous trophy that their team won. The trophy will be displayed at Academy Sports {Skyler's dad's store}. Trace's mom took pics of the whole team, so hopefully lil Trace will email those to everyone soon and I will post it on here! Good Job boys! I love watching you play and being around all of you lil sweeties! {As a side note there were three pregnant wives in the crowd almost every week. One of the babes was born in the middle of the season, one is due in the end of July and Lola in Sept. Lots of preggo girls!}

Chris also plays in 2 leagues in Ogden. He plays with the Associate team on Tuesdays and a co-ed team on Wednesdays. So Mon-Wed, this guy is busy! I am glad he is doing something he loves and is having a good time! Even though he is the most accident prone person I know and comes home at least every other week with some new physical ailment... Love you Chris, my lil injured man!

The 4th of July!!!

I love the 4th of July, it is seriously one of my favorite holidays! However, I have no photo documentation of this weekend... I had my camera with me, but completely spaced taking any photos and photo-ops were plentiful... OOPS. Here is a run down of our fun weekend!
{If you know me, you know I hate crocs, so when I typed in 4th of July and this was one of the pics that came up... I couldn't resist. Hopefully these are the children's ones, or I might throw up ha ha No offense out there croc lovers...}

FRIDAY- We went to the annual Braithwaite family BBQ. Grandma and Grandpa had just got back from sabbatical with my Grandpa's students. They were in Oregon. :) It was great to see everyone and eat Grandpa's famous home-made ice cream and root beer. I am almost positive I had 3 servings of each... Nicole kept giving me crap about it but I said, do you really wanna mess with a pregnant lady about her ice cream? Then she gave in and got me another bowl full! ha ha We only get these once a year, you have to stock up.

Nathan and Suki's family was there as well, they live in Oregon right now. So it was great to see them and their kids and their new baby Lindsey. What a cute little sumo baby! Plus I got to chat with Grandma, mom, and all the aunts about being pregnant and their large babies. Which brought even more validity to my prediction of having a LARGE baby ;) Like Tina says, "Big babies, eat well and sleep well". That is ok with me!

Then we went to my parents' and hung out with them and little bro's. We even had a great firework show put on my RoLee, Ryker, and Chris. We were trying to show up the Robbison's, I think we succeeded. ha ha Then we ate treats, Nicole joined us and we all watched old family videos and laughed until mom told us to quiet down {she was trying to sleep upstairs...} HA HA

SATURDAY- We were so lazy. We all slept in and then hung out and watched movies on TV. Chris, RoLee, and Nicole went and got us some delicious Snowy slushes. Man were they tasty. Then we lazed around some more and later that evening, when dad got off work, we all went to eat at Joe Bandito's in Springville. YUMMERS! Then Chris and I headed to pick up Cooper from Chris' parents and head home.

SUNDAY- Just the usual. Church, I taught the lesson in Young Womens and Sunday dinner at Chris' parents. It was delish, then we all watched a movie and ate fruit shakes and called it a night.

Annual Park City Adventure!

Once again we headed up to Park City with all the Payson Ladies (minus Brooke, she lives in NY). It was a great time! Ashley, Molly, Sara, Tina, and I packed in Ash's little Honda Civic {good gas mileage} and drove our butts up to Park City. We met up with Leslie and this is how day 1 proceeded:

  • Eating a yummy lunch at the Brewery
  • Looking at the shops on Main Street... looking, we are not millionaires ha ha
  • Getting Carmel apples at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
  • A quick trip to the outlets- I gave in and bought a maternity swimsuit...
  • Pedicures/manicures at the Tip and Toe nails or something of that nature.

{Leslie and Molly}

{All the pedicure ladies... curse my friends for being short and small while I am extra fat and fluffy ha ha}

{Ash with the famous wax hands}

{Tina with the wax hands}

  • Met up with Amanda and Kelly
  • Fought with the rental people because the key to our huge townhouse didn't fit the lock, so we ended up being DOWNGRADED to a little condo without a private hot tub... the pics below are Ashley dressed up, acting like the dumb broad we had to fight with about the arrangements. Don't ever make reservations through Bear Hollow- I think that is what they are called.

{Our tribute to the whore in the rental office, yes I just said whore! Note Ashley's fake stuffed boobies, heinous lip liner, ratted hair, and snacks. Yes the woman was snacking while being infuriating and "helping" customers!}

  • Made din din and ate lots of snacks...
  • A surprise baby shower for me and a surprise wedding shower for Kelly! I got so spoiled, thanks ladies. Ash has the pics of the shower, I will post them soon!
  • {note the ever so cute froggies on the feet of this outfit!}

    {an industrial-sized box of wipes, perfect!!}

    {Kelly opening her fun "naughty" gifts ;)...}

  • Talking and snacking all night!

day 2:

  • Eat a yummy breakfast that Tina and Sara made (I believe)
  • Go to the outlets and shop more!

  • {Molly, Kelly, Ash, Sara, me (and Lola), and Amanda... apparently something was funny}

  • Everyone leaves but Ash, Tina, Sara, and I. We shop a bit more
  • Eat some yummy food at Park City Pizza
  • Head home after being tired and too hot!

{Sara, Molly, Kelly, Tina, me (and Lola), and Amanda}

We had such a great time! I love these ladies and am so glad that we all stay in touch and stay great friends! We made a deal to try to get together more often, like every other month or something. So here is the reminder to everyone, we have to do it! We have too much fun when we are together. Thanks for the great shower and gifts and an awesome weekend girls!

Love you lots! :)
