SYTYCD

Wow do I love this show!! It makes me wish I had stuck with dancing!! I watch my old dance videos and cry myself to sleep when I think of the wasted potential.... OK maybe not that bad. But it does make me miss dancing and want to start doing it again. Not to mention that all our Utah peeps are in the Top 16 still!!! I danced a bit with Thayne at UVSC, Kelly can testify to that. She did too, we would all sit in the hall and chat in between dance classes and such. He is a sweetie, GO THAYNE!!!
I thoroughly enjoy watching this show every week, thank heavens it is on 2 nights in a row!! I love to see how beautifully these contestants dance and the fun choreography, I just love it all! I thought I would include the most awesome audition I have ever seen!!! I loved this guy and so did Chris. He does some crazy shizz, you have to watch this guy, it is worth the time! {If you don't want to watch his intro, fast forward to 1:00} Well when he gets to Vegas, he freaks because he has never been in an actual dance class and doesn't know how to handle learning choreography....... so he freakin quits. Before the judges even get the chance to see him dance and decide for themselves. He lost points in my book for that, but man, he is AMAZING!!!

Also Joshua is such a sweetie!! He warms my heart and surprises me with his hidden talent every week!! I really liked this dance!

Yay for dancing getting the recognition it deserves and for all the talented people on the show this year!!!

Mommy-dom is nearing!

I am starting to realize more and more each day that this little creature growing in my tummy, is in fact a baby, a human being, a real-life mini baby (for now).

It is so much fun to feel her move around all the time and tell me things like, "your elastic band on your maternity pants is too tight so I am going to kick the crap out of it" OR "you are hungry and that means am I as well, so I am going to wiggle until you feed me" OR "I am bored because you are sitting at a desk all day, not moving, so I will elbow you slowly across your belly". But I love feeling her move pretty much constantly lately. It is a reminder that she will be here soon!

As of yesterday I am 29 weeks. That means only 11 more weeks till Lola is here and if she keeps growing like she is, who knows, she may come sooner! As of June 12th, the Dr. guesstimated that she was 3.5lbs and then proceeded to say that she is a BIG baby. I go again on Thursday so we will see how much she has grown and also find out how my glucose levels are. They were a little high last time, so I get to do the test again.

{Lola and I.... she is getting big}

We are finally starting on Lola's nursery. I have been buying cute little things to decorate with and have her bedding picked out. Now I am just saving my pennies so I can buy that dang bedding. Why do all the cute ones have to be soo expensive?! I wish I could sew wonderfully, so I could just make some. But even the cute home-made ones on Etsy are $300 or so...

Here are some fun things for the nursery. The painting and bead boarding shall commence after the 4th of July holiday is over and my mom is done remodelling my grandparents bathroom while they are on sabbatical.

{Here is her oh-so-cute bedding set}

{The next 2 are a set of prints that I found on Etsy that were made to match her bedding!!! (they were customizable, hence the "Lola Beth") I just need to get frames for them}

{Last, I found this sweet print on Etsy also, it's customizable as well! I need to get a cute frame for this too!}

I am excited to dig in and really get going on the nursery! I will post pictures of the progress as we go. This is my first remodel project in my house so I am nervous but excited because my mom is GREAT at this stuff and I am sure it will turn out gorgeous! Then I will attempt the other painting and various jobs I have been procrastinating around the house :)

Papa's day!!!

This weekend we were able to spend time with both of our dad's. Friday night and Saturday we were at my parents house. It was a lot of fun to just relax, eat food, shop for Father's Day gifts, etc. Saturday night we went with my family to eat at the Pizza Factory, yummy!

Sunday we were back up north and we went to a fun BBQ with Chris's parents and their good friends/family. It was a celebration for Father's Day and a couple of birthdays too!! Our friends/family up north are a lot of fun! We love them so much!

Here are a few things about the great dad's in my life!

My daddy-o, Ron Gordon

He is seriously the nicest man I know! Ever since I was little I wanted to marry a man just like him. He is so nice to everyone and makes everybody feel like they are important to him. I think that is why he has been successful in his business- he treats everyone like they are his most important customer. I am sure that he honestly feels that way too. He cares so much about everyone. He has done so much service for those around him and has given me a love for services as well. He has provided for our family since way back in the day when it was just him, mom, and I in the funny green trailer on the farm. {and before I was around too}
He has come to my dance concerts, piano recitals, choir concerts, and more. He has always pushed all of us kids to be the best we could be and be an example to those around us. He has such a strong testimony and has helped mine grow as well. My favorite little gift he ever got me was a license plate key chain that said "Daddy's girl". It fell off my keys later and I was so sad, that the next time he went back on vacation, to the place he got it, he bought me another one. {I still think I am his favorite, sshh} He is so loving and I am so glad to call him my dad!!! Not to mention he is gonna be a great grandpa soon!!!

Next is my hubby Chris- he is a daddy now to Lola but will officially be so in Sept.
Chris is the funnest and sweetest person I have ever met. This big guy wears his heart on his sleeve. He loves eveyone in his life with such passion. He cares so much for his family and friends and is great at keeping in touch with them. If we are in the car driving more than 5 minutes, he is on the phone with one of his friends checking in on them. He treats me like a queen! That was always my main requirement in looking for a husband, I found that and more. He is so sweet to me and always looks out for me before himself. I know he has sacrificed for me and I appreciate that so much.
He is very, very excited to be a daddy! ! He was the one that was putting the pressure on me to get going on our family and I am soo glad that he did. Lola is such a blessing already and she is still in the womb. He loves to feel her move and kiss my tummy. What a sweetie! Last but not least, this guy is Hilarious!!! He is the creepy guy hanging out in the back of the pics of my friends and I, he is an expert dancer, karaoke singer, and comedian. He makes me laugh EVERY single day!!
Next is my papa in law, Mike Perry {all my pics of him are wedding ones and they are on my other computer, I will add some later} ;)
I see where Chris gets his caring nature. This guy, whether he knows you or not, will give you a big ole hug upon arrival and departure. He is so sweet and funny. When you see him you think, that dude is BA (bad ass) with his beard and tattoos and Harley shirt. {I think those are the only shirts he has, they are awesome!} But man, is he a sweetheart. He always asks how I am doing and his granddaughter as well and really cares to hear. He is so excited to be a grandpa, he tells us all the time! Him and Betsy take care of me since I am a ways away from my parents. :)
Mike always cooks us the best meals. Yes, he is the cook in their household. He is good at spicing everything up and making an awesome southern meal. Whether its baked beans, pork chops, fried bologna, BBQ'ed meats or his plain old Mac and Cheese which really isn't plain or old at all. It is always delicious! He will buy me cute baby things when he sees them and spoils the crap out of Chris and I. We feel a little guilty sometimes, but who's complaining.... not us!!!
I feel so very lucky to have these men in my life and I couldn't imagine life without them. I love them all so much and appreciate all they do for me. They truly are 1 in a million!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY GUYS!

I am slacking...

Due to my lack of great things to talk about, I have been avoiding the good ole blog. But I have enjoyed catching up on everyone else's each day with my trusty google reader!!! Love it!

So here are some fun things going on in and around the Perry home lately...
  • Lola is moving tons and growing a lot too, I can tell by the lovely beauty marks {aka stretch marks} she is giving me... at least she is WAY worth it! {Colee and I, she is my #1 sister and aunt to be}

  • Kelly Anderson is getting hitched... that is right! {as are 2 of my cousins, that exact same weekend... busy} To a man with the same last name so she will forever stay Kelly Anderson ha ha :) Here she is telling a rather engaging story on our last ladies trip to Park City. Isn't she precious! August 16th is the big day... I believe.

  • The Payson ladies are gearing up for another rip roaring year of Park City fun at the end of this month. That means way too much girl talk, snacks, laughing, reminiscing, and sharing TMI!!! {We wish Brooker lived closer so she could be there, but she will be visiting this summer!!!}

  • Chris has been playing massive amounts of softball and a little basketball to boot. So I am getting good at trash-talking the other team and yelling at the Ump when he/she makes stupid calls. He is currently playing in 3 leagues and is loving every minute of it!

  • I am still enjoying my calling as the 1st counsellor in the Young Women's presidency. We are doing all of our camp certifications now so we can mostly play up at girls camp. It is ward camp this year. Being pregnant, I am not looking forward to sleeping in a tent but luckily (haha) I can't take too much time off work because I am saving up for maternity leave so I will only be attending the last few days. Thanks to all the other ladies that will be there more than me, they are awesome aka Jaime, Monica, and Alysha ;)

  • I am trying to get ready to be able to leave my job for a couple months for maternity leave... I am the only one who does it so therefore, I have to train someone to do what I will not be doing and figure out how to do the rest from home while on maternity leave. Thinking about this stresses me out, so instead I read blogs and keep pushing the organizing off... OOPS!

  • Soon we will be starting the babies room... How much goes into this room is based on how big my upcoming bonus is... everyone cross your fingers. We are trying not to buy too much baby stuff yet, since we still have showers and things to attend. But we have purchased the crib. It is so cute and I used my negotiating skills TWICE with RC Willey and got them to come down on the price not once... but twice. Hip Hip Hooray!! It's a 4 in one bed and we love it! {here is a crappy picture I took at RC Willey the night we bought it. I will put a better one up when we re-assemble it and get going on the nursery}

  • Last but not least, my cute Babycenter email picture. This is me... I am definitely radiant when I wear my authentic Mexican Muumuu that was hand stitched by sweet Mexican ladies. My parents picked it up for me on their cruise. It is close to being the bane of Chris' existence, which is why I wear it as often as possible. To remind him of what is to come in the future.... Muumuu city baby!

Nicole modeling my muumuu before I received it. She is cute.
