Flashback to the beginning of summer

I stumbled upon some cute pictures from earlier this summer. They are from Brit's bachelorette party! It was a lot of fun! We went to eat at Thaifoon at the Gateway, went to Sugarhouse and got Maggie Moo's Ice cream and went to browse the Blue Boutique for wedding night goodies for Brit. ;)

All of us at Thaifoon

ANTM

Let me not forget about the reunion of the girls TV night! Last Wednesday Brit, Jeanette, and I finally had a girls night like the old days!! It was the Season Premier of this seasons America's Next Top Model. It looks like it is going to be an interesting one... a lot of the girls are amateurs and have never modeled before and some are just plain stupid. ha ha Sounds rude, but they either act like it on purpose or were not blessed with "smart genes".

We were laughing and commenting and feeling embarrassed for some people. It was a fun night! It was a shorter night than we would have preferred but it was great to hang out and chat.

This week we are overly excited for the new seasons of The Office and Grey's Anatomy.... probably a little too excited. But none the less it is a great excuse to get together and ogle over the drama and comedy each Thursday night! Yay ladies, get ready!!!

Girls Getaway '07

This last weekend, me and my high school friends went to Park City for a girl getaway! We decided that we are going to start doing this every year and every other year we will try to venture further so we could possibly meet up with Brooke on our excursion... since she lives in Buffalo, NY.

This year there were 8 of us and we rented a condo (more like a town house, it had three levels!) in Park City and it was fabulous. They are rented out when the owners are not vacationing in them. It is really nice because they are fully equipped and ours had a private hot tub!!!

Friday morning a few of us met up to go to a live taping of Good Things Utah, I must admit, I have never seen a full episode and they were overly cheesy from what I had seen. But it ended up being a fun time and we got a few free crafty things :) Then we headed up to Park City for some lunch and browsing Main Street and pedicures!!! By this time Tina and Molly had joined us and then we ventured to the grocery store and back to the townhouse. We started cooking dinner and all the hours of girl talk!! By the time dinner was done, Amanda and Kelly had arrived and we were complete! The eating, hot tubbing, and chatting went on till the wee hours of the morning... ok wee to me but maybe not to other people. I gave in and hit the sack at 2am... I was TIRED!!!

The next day we hit up the outlets!!! This was fun, we had all been saving so we could spend some dough and not feel guilty ;) We made our rounds and hit tons of stores! I got a cute hoodie at Zumiez and a dress from Banana (I am always looking for cute dresses!) and lastly the make up store which had MAC at a discounted price. So I got another of my favorite, Studio Fix for a lot cheaper than Nordstrom's price! After the outlets we ate some lunch and headed home, right before the rain got really bad...

I had such a great time and this just reminded me even more of why I love these ladies so much and why we have stayed so close over the last 7+ years. :) They are all beautiful and live their lives with such grace and integrity. They all have the gospel close to their hearts and we share some great experiences everytime we are together. I love all of you and look forward to our next adventure together!!!!

The Editors

Saturday was a fun night!!! Amanda and I went to see the Editors at Club Sound. They were AMAZING!!! I was soo excited to see them live and was very happy that Amanda wanted to come with me. We totally forgot our cameras, so we don't have pics of us... but I got some pics of the Editors to put on here. They are from the UK and have awesome accents. They sounded great live and I couldn't believe that such a deep and powerful voice came out of such a cute, lil guy!!!

Afterward, we went to the after-party at Todd's too bad we didn't see any of the band members even once... we are thinking it must have been the unofficial after-party... But it was a grand time because we danced our guts out and had a great time. The DJ was the same DJ that spun at Trapp earlier in the week and he was taking requests and would come out and dance with us also. He said that we were, "the best croud he had ever DJ's for and he would be content dancing with this group of people for the rest of his life" We were that much fun!!! It was a blast, I definitely worked up a sweat ha ha
If you haven't ever heard them, there is one of their songs on my playlist and I also added their music videos player to the bottom of my page so check them out. You will not be disappointed!!

Trapp Door

Last night was a fabulous night. Amanda and I (and a couple of her friends) went to grab some mexican last night and then it was off to Trapp Door. I haven't been dancing in a while so this was great! I need to shake my booty every now and then. Yes, Trapp Door has a lot of gay people, so it is nice to not have to worry about scuzzy guys trying to dance with you and ruin your night. You can just go with your girlfriends and have a fabulous time! Also last night they had a Halloween costume fashion show, so that was great! I ran into an old friend while there too, its a small world :) I was out too late for a week night and am kinda tired today but that is why I am drinking my sugar free Rockstar... so I am covered ha ha

New pics added...

I finally got the pictures from Onion Days added to the posts below, so check them out. They are classic!!

Happy Sumo and Friends!

Last Friday me, Ali, and Lauren had a girls night at the Gateway! Of course we went to Happy Sumo and then shopped. But we were sadly suprprised that the Gateway has started closing at nine again. So we headed back to Provo and hung out at their cute new apt. We had tons of girl talk and it was a lot of fun. Those girls make me laugh so hard and I love the way they interact with each othe, it is hilarious!

Saturday I had a shower to go to for my childhood friend and neighbor Angie. It was fun to see her and a lot of other friends from my childhhood. She is one of those friends that you can not see for a year or two and then you get back together and still have tons to talk about and you feel way comfortable around them. I am so excited that she is tying the knot and is very happy!

That night Chris and I went to dinner with my friend Amanda and her boyfriend Scotty (below). We went to Macaroni Grill downtown and it was a lot of fun! :) Then it was bedtime for Chris since he works so early and I went with Amanda back to Scotty's and we played some intense Guitar hero... as usual :) Gotta love it!

The final chapter of Onion Days

Monday Chris surprised me by coming down!! He worked on Sunday and was supposed to be working on Monday so he left Saturday afternoon to go home and I was missing him! He was "very sick" so that is why he didn't go into work and came to be with the family!!!! YAY! (although I think kharma bit him in the butt for that one, because he actually got sick the next couple of day and end3ed up coming home from work both days :( so he had a one day work week... Yesterday we found out he has bleeding ulsers and that is why he was yammy-ing every morning, sad huh?)

We went to the Payson parade with my mom and sis and Jaime and Pete. It was eventful as a small town parade can get and Chris complained a lot. But I was loving me some parade! My dad had the big American Car Care bird that is filled with air so they drove that in the parade and my brothers and their friends handed out cany, water, adn T-shirts. We took pictures and were so proud.

After the parade my mom's side of the family came over for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun! She comes from a family of 10 so it is always a house full and we love it!! Everyone ate and chatted and then we headed home and ended our blessed and eventful Onion Days weekend.

Onion Days Day continued...

Saturday was a little more relaxing. My parents were having a grand opening all weekend for the tire store. It used to be a Big O Tire but they recently changed it into an American Car Care Center! I was lucky enough to go and help my mom hand out free hotdogs to the people at the store. Luckily it wasn't that busy so my Mom and I just chatted with each other and the random family and friends that happened to come by! When I was finished "hotdogging" and cleaning up, I was off to the booths at the park.

Chris and I went to visit Ashley Hone (Dunn) and Leslie Faragher (Hiatt) at their booth. They started a cute new company where they make baby head bands and jewlery. Their stuff is adorable and a great price. I believe the company name is Bella Bambina. If you need any of those baby things, let me know and I will give you their numbers or email. They are ready and willing to do whatever you need and will even make bows to match particular outfits for you! I bought a bunch of stuff for my friend Tami, she is having a baby shower tonight. :)

That night I went to Salt Lake with my friend Ali to watch our friends and her boyfriends band The New Nervous. They are a fabulous band and are so talented. (Click on their name to go to their website.) They played at the Avalon with Victim Effect and Kill Hannah. After the show, we got the Pie to go and went and ate it up at LDS hospital with Devin and Lisa. It was so much fun. We wheeled him down to the cafeteria and noone else was there because it was almost midnight and we ate and laughed and had a great time.

Sunday was nice and realxing and my mom made her famous double frosting brownies!!! Hooray!

Labor Day weekend aka Onion days

In Payson Labor Day is the huge town celebration known as Onion Days. I am not quite sure of the story behind the origin and it isn't like we actually di any activities relating to onions but oh well... This was a fun weekend. We went down to my parents house on Friday night in wretched traffic. That night we went to eat at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Payson- Mi Rancherito, after that we took off to the fireworks. My dad is a volunteer firefighter in Payson and they do the fireworks, so he was excited for us to watch them :) At this point there was no holding back my husband and brothers from running to the carnival to ride all sorts of spinning rides!!! Of course I was in! I love rides and "I never get motion sick"! So we were planning on riding the Gravitron (now known as the Starship) as many times as we could and all sorts of other rides.

We got there and started with the Gravitron, I had never been on it. This was quite the fun experience. There were kids upside down and side ways and Chris was bull dozing my sister (she decided to join us, even though she knows she gets motion sick!) Chris was taking pictures and having a grand time! After that ride, the little boys and I went on the Gwhiz (similar to the magic carpet) that was fun, I dared them to keep their arms up the whole time. RoLee didn't last but two rotations, but Ryker on the other hand, he rode it like a champ and kept his hands up most of the time, like me. It was great! Then it was back to the Gravitron, minus Nicole (obviously and plus Ryker, he dared to this time after hearing about how fun it was) Great again, especially seeing Ryker's face ha ha By this time I was feeling pretty dizzy but there were still 2 rides I wanted to go on. So Ryker and I were off to the Orbiter. Yes, side ways, in the air, spinning, with two G's slapping your face. This was great, I kept coaching Ryker to scream if he felt woozy. We got off and all I could think was... I need to lay down. My head was in a defferent dimension. So we layed down on the grass and found everyone. I was spent, if I went on my last and most anticipated ride, which I would've had to brave on my own, (everyone else was too scared!) I would have yammied for sure!!! So I called it quits. But the biys wanted another Gravitron, so off they went with their friend Max. After they returned, Max didn't look so hot. We went to get a "Texas Twister" lemonade and then hit the road, when Max disappeared to the bathroom. After a few minutes he returned, looking like he had endured a triathalon. You guessed it, he ralphed in the bathroom. ha ha So he was feeling better but 3 of us were still pretty motion sick.

We all went home and layed down and laughed about our adventures and my big talk of never being motion sick. Yep, this was my first time getting motion sick on a ride... I must be getting old. :) What a great start to a magical Onion Days weekend!
